“Originally, I just knew how to farm and do hard work; [but] luckily, the government started rural night classes that let me learn all sorts of knowledge, broaden my worldview, and open more opportunities for employment outside [the village]. The rural schools are ‘yakexi’.” After class, the villager Tohti Metniyaz said happily with a huge smile on his face.

During this most beautiful spring, Konasheher’s #2 Elementary School Party Members Service work team entered Tuokezhake Township Pilale Village and established a “school becomes a night school” event to teach villagers the national common language, sing the national anthem…to nourish the patriotism of the ethnic masses…

Most of those who come to study are villagers under 35. Although they still stammer to express [themselves], they work very seriously. Their pronunciation is decent and they practice mispronounced words over and over again.
